STELA BTL (Band Trockner Lichte) industrial dryers are a cheaper and simpler version of belt dryers. They are also ideal for the use of waste heat from biogas plants. This model is suitable for drying various types of materials such as digestate, sawdust, wood chips, sewage sludge, effluent, bentonite, or agricultural products such as cereals, corn, alfalfa, beet pulp, and so on.
Products (excluding dust) up to the G50 fraction, all bulk but also liquid products (with a dry matter content of at least 4%) can be dried.
The STELA BTL belt dryers are designed to operate 8,000 hours/year, but can also operate 8760 hours/year and work in extreme weather conditions. Drying is controlled by belt speed and fan power control.
The dryers are equipped with high-quality monitoring and in the automatic mode, they fully meet the needs of the operation. The output moisture is monitored and it is possible to achieve precise values for subsequent granulation or other forms of treatment.
The principle of belt drying corresponds exactly to the nature of the temperatures that can be obtained from cogeneration units or production, i.e. 60-120 °C, and the nature of low-temperature drying with high airflow. Drying takes place in a closed drying tunnel on a plastic belt made of woven polyamide. This special belt can withstand temperatures up to 140 °C. Its weaving density allows even very fine dusty materials to be dried. The belt also serves as a natural filter, ensuring a low concentration of dust emissions at the outlet. Belt dryers are the only way to achieve uniform drying with guaranteed output moisture.
