On 13 November 2024, a historic event took place in Senička – the grand opening of the largest PAWLICA post-harvest line and the celebration of the 800th realized silo!
This state-of-the-art complex sets new standards in grain storage and processing, showcasing innovation and excellence in agricultural technology. The ceremony was attended by distinguished guests, key partners, and representatives from the farming community, making it a truly memorable day for Czech agriculture.
The new post-harvest line, with a total capacity of 22,330 tonnes, including five modern BROCK silos (each with a capacity of 2,066 tonnes), marks a significant milestone for the Agricultural Cooperative Senice na Hané, the primary investor in the project.
This forward-looking investment will optimize storage and processing operations, enhancing the cooperative's independence and efficiency in agricultural management.
At the opening ceremony, the cooperative's chairman, Ing. Jaroslav Navrátil, highlighted the importance of the project, stating:
"This project guarantees better storage conditions for our crops and moves our cooperative and the region toward greater self-sufficiency and competitiveness. It is an important step for our agriculture and our future."
Ing. Petr Pawlica, MBA, Managing Director of PAWLICA s.r.o., highlighted the significance of this milestone project:
"Our goal was to create a facility that not only meets current demands but is also prepared for future challenges. With this line, the Agricultural Cooperative Senice na Hané can now store nearly 95% of its total production."
He further emphasized:
"This project represents more than just a technological leap; it symbolizes our commitment to the region. Each silo embodies a promise – a promise to ensure better conditions for agriculture, foster sustainability, and care for our environment."
As part of the celebration and a strong focus on sustainability, PAWLICA s.r.o. and the Agricultural Cooperative Senice na Hané pledged to plant a tree in the Haná region for every newly built silo. This meaningful gesture will result in the planting of five trees, serving as a lasting reminder of this significant event.
During the ceremony, a symbolic donation was handed over to the non-profit organization Partnership, which will oversee the planting and long-term care of the trees. The director of Partnership expressed heartfelt gratitude for the initiative and emphasized the vital role green projects play in agricultural regions.
"Every tree is not only a gift to nature but also a legacy for future generations. We sincerely thank PAWLICA and the cooperative for this remarkable act," she said during the handover.
This initiative underscores a shared commitment to a greener, more sustainable future for the Haná region.
Representatives of the technology partners, including BROCK and Skandia, commended the exceptional collaboration behind the project.
Magnus Werner from Skandia shared his thoughts:
"Our partnership with PAWLICA demonstrates the incredible results that can be achieved when expertise and innovation come together. This project stands as a true example of state-of-the-art agricultural infrastructure."
During the event, the cooperative proudly received the prestigious 2024 Harvest Line of the Year award, underscoring the significance of the project and its valuable contribution to Czech agriculture.
The ceremony featured a guided tour of the new facility, offering visitors an in-depth look at the cutting-edge technological innovations that define this remarkable achievement.
The celebration concluded with a friendly gathering, where guests enjoyed refreshments, live music, and engaging discussions about the future of agriculture.
The opening of PAWLICA's largest post-harvest line in Senička stands as a testament to how modern technology and innovation can reshape and elevate Czech agriculture. This project represents not just an investment in infrastructure but also a commitment to a sustainable, competitive future for the agricultural sector.
